One of the messages we promote to other organisations is that taking time out for review and reflection is an important part of organisational life and learning. We know that message applies to VBNK as much as any other organisation, so on 9 – 11th January all VBNK staff attended an organisational retreat in Kep. We used the opportunity to review our work and achievements in 2017, and refresh our commitments to working together in ways that promote trust, cooperation, good communication and mutual support. This included exploring new ways of learning together, such as peer supervision and methods for sharing the learning from our work across different projects. This exercise was a great way to start the New Year, as it has refreshed and energised us all to achieve even better results with and for our partners in 2018.
