More than ever before, the donor community and NGOs are called upon to reliably prove that they use the provided funds effectively and that they make an obvious contribution towards development processes in their countries. To be able to provide this proof, explicit orientation towards outcome and impact is necessary. This means understanding monitoring as a continuous and systematic process of observation, systematic documentation and critical reflection of the project implementation. It is not only about comparing your plan with your achievements, but also about assessing the information, learning from it and adjusting your approach if necessary.
VBNK has been contracted by Bread for the World to provide technical and consultancy services to its Cambodian partner NGOs to strengthen the outcome and impact orientation (OIO) of their Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation systems (PME). On 22-23 January, 2018, VBNK conducted coaching sessions on data processing and report writing with Life with Dignity (LWD) in Phnom Penh.
