It is no doubt that communication plays a vital role in human life. It not only helps to facilitate the process of sharing information and knowledge, but also helps people to develop relationships with others. In our partners’ project implementation, they need to communicate to form connections, influence decisions, and motivate change. Public speaking is one of the most important and effective forms of communication.
Public Speaking training is a very important soft skill which is provided to staff in any organisation to build their confidence to speak effectively in any setting. To improve the public speaking capacity of the staff of the NGO partners under the CCSS project VBNK organized and co-facilitated a two-day training workshop (09-10 July 2018). The objectives of the training were that participants would be able to: 1) design and deliver a speech confidently and effectively; 2) persuade or convince people to accept their ideas into consideration; 3) communicate effectively with their team and target audience; and 4) use their body language and vocal variety in a speech effectively.
“The training is very helpful. I have a better idea of how to speak more effectively with my target groups. It also helps me in many areas of my work,” said one participant.
