On 18 to 20 June 2019, two VBNK’s senior finance consultants have delivered one training in Siem Reap province on Financial Management for Non-Finance staff from Non-Profit Organizations. There were 27 participants (11 Female) coming from 21 NGOs which based in PP, BTB, BMC and SR provinces.
This course is to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in financial management within the organization to be more effective, transparent and accountable.
In order to achieve the above objective, facilitators have provided and used experiential learning, action – oriented learning, creativity, and participatory approaches that emphasized throughout the course to help and encourage active participation, share practical experiences on financial management issues within the organization.
As a result of this training, participants appreciated the methods and process and actively participated in the whole process of the training. The course evaluation showed that 44% were very satisfied, 52% satisfied and 4% partially satisfied.
Mr.Lang Davuth, vice president of CMA based in Siem Reap and Ms.Keat Thoeun, program management team of KAWP based in Battambang province said that: “This course is useful and practical, especially for non-finance staff.” Both of them are now the provincial NGOs network members, they requested the approval to share what they have learned from this course as well as the training materials to the other provincial NGOs network members who did not have a chance to attend this training so that they can improve their Financial management capacity as well.
